An Irish coffee is the perfect treat and makes for a great way to treat dinner guests at the end of a dinner party. The combination of coffee, cream and Irish whiskey is the perfect way to finish a meal.

How To Make An Irish Coffee

  1. Add the double cream into a bowl and whip the cream lightly. Stop once it has slightly thickened.
  2. Pour the freshly brewed hot black coffee, using Grand Cru espresso beans, into a mug. Add 50ml Irish whiskey and 1 tsp of brown sugar. Stir the coffee until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Carefully add the cream on top of the coffee so that it floats on top. Sprinkle the freshly grated nutmeg on top of the cream. Serve hot.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp double cream
  • 50ml Irish whiskey
  • 150ml freshly brewed black coffee, using Grand Cru espresso beans
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
