ViewWith over 30 years experience supplying to businesses all over the UK, our passion for coffee is truly unmatched. Our expert knowledge helps our customers to explore new coffee, purchase ideal coffee machines and even provide sound advice on the nitty gritty of how to make the perfect cuppa using different apparatus, so let's get into the latter shall we?
So you’ve bought your preferred coffee from us and a handy cafetiere, also known as a French press, but how do you use it?
Step 1 - Boil your kettle and set to the side for the time being.
Step 2 - Add your coarse ground Cafe Du Monde coffee into your cafetiere using a coffee scoop (or alternatively you can use a dessert spoon). One of the many benefits of using a cafetiere is that it gives you the freedom of experimenting with the strongness of your coffee.
Step 3 - Slowly pour the boiling water over the ground coffee making sure you’re soaking all coffee grounds to ensure that you’re maximising the infused flavour.
Step 4 - Stir the coffee and top up with more boiling water if needed, place the lid on the cafetiere to keep the heat in and leave to sit for 4-5 minutes.
Step 5 - Return to your coffee and start to slowly plunge down.
Step 6 - Leave to stand for a few seconds and then pour your delicious coffee into your favourite mug and enjoy immediately.
Now that you’re prepared to dive into making your own coffee using a cafetiere, you can cast your eyes over our selection of cafetiere coffee, whether you prefer fruity, nutty, spiced or original we bet we have something for you to enjoy.
