All our coffees are roasted by convection heat in a Fluid Bed Roaster – one of only four in the UK. This “turbo roasting” heats the beans evenly and quickly through to their centre thereby avoiding burning or baking the beans which can be a problem with Drum Roasters. We roast all our beans to a medium-dark roast to enhance the aroma and body “in the cup” whilst preserving their natural flavour and acidity. Once roasted, our beans are packed in 1kg foil bags fitted with a one-way valve to allow the beans to breath, without getting into contact with oxygen. This guarantees the beans freshness.
