Red Lion - Salisbury August 18 2014

Built almost 800 years ago to house the stonemasons working on the nearby cathedral, the Best Western Red Lion Hotel Salisbury is reputedly the oldest purpose-built hotel in the country. The Bistro Style Vine Restaurant has a wattle and daub wall dating back to 1220 and the hotel is home to a fine collection of rare antiques, particularly clocks.

A gradual change in their business mix swinging more towards smaller conferences, luncheons and stylish weddings has meant their equipment needs altered. Café du Monde advised removing a bulk brew coffee machine and replacing with a cost efficient cafetière system and a La Spaziale espresso machine. With a relationship of over 12 years a 3 year partnership plan was agreed and all the new equipment was installed free of charge, with repairs and staff training included. In return the Hotel purchase all their coffee from Café du Monde.
