James and Kate Mack­en­zie won the accol­ade for The Pipe and Glass Inn, a 17^th cen­tury pub in South Dalton, a vil­lage to the north of Hull.

The couple replace Mr Blu­menthal in the num­ber one spot. The tele­vi­sion chef won the award last year for The Hinds Head in Bray, Berkshire, which is also the loc­a­tion of his world-famous res­taur­ant The Fat Duck.

The new S40 range of tra­di­tional espresso machines was launched at the Hos­pit­al­ity Expo 2009, Milan, Italy in Octo­ber.
